Club Julian's popular Tai Chi class is back for an all-new 8-week series and it starts on Thursday, June 9. New to Tai Chi? Try our FREE intro class on Thursday, June 2nd at 12:30.
Regular classes run every Thursday from June 9 - July 28, 2016.
There are 2 paid-class options to choose from:
Advanced classes - 12:30pm-1:30pm - for experienced Tai Chi students with at least 1 year of participation.
Beginners' classes - 1:30pm-2:30pm - for those who are new to, or with less than 1 year of, Tai Chi participation.
If you would like to sign up for the Tai Chi series, there is a fee of $50 (for Club Julian members) and $60 for non-members. Payment can be made at the front desk before the first class.
Hosted by Chinese Martial Artist, David Slaughter, you will learn the proper Tai Chi technique and form to achieve maximum meditation and fitness benefits from this exercise.
Tai Chi is a type of martial art that emphasizes complete relaxation while building strength - a low-impact moving form of yoga and meditation combined. It is characterized by soft, slow, flowing movements that focus on balance, stability and fitness. It is effective for reducing stress, lowering blood pressure, alleviating symptoms of arthritis, and increasing upper body strength and flexibility.
